1. Donation Collection Station

In order to serve the needs of families, individuals, and first responders affected by the California wildfires, we will be serving as a donation collection station. Below are some donation items you can purchase and drop off at our office, and we will be donating to those in need.

• Hygiene kits: toothbrushes, soap and washcloths
• Baby Supplies: diapers and formula
• Food: non-perishable items and animal food
• Vision Supplies: spare pairs of glasses, unopened/sealed contact lens solutions and unused contact lens cases
• Donations at the following organizations
  • Red Cross: Visit redcross.org, call 1-800-RED CROSS or text the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
  • United Way of Northern California: Visit norcalunitedway.org or text BUTTEFIRE to 91999 to donate. UWNC is providing emergency cash grants to homeowners and supporting survivors in need of help.
  • North Valley Animal Disaster Group: Visit nvadg.org/donate to donate. Help in the safety and well-being of all domestic animals and farm animals, including wildlife, affected by a disaster.

2. Free Eye Exams and Replacement of Prescription Eyeglasses

It is our commitment to serve those who have been affected by the recent wildfires in California and we want to do our part in ensuring their health is maintained during this time – this includes their eye health.

If you or someone you know has been affected, please know we will be offering complimentary eye exams through December 8th, 2018 for victims of and first responders to the fires. As a practice that serves both children and adults, we encourage anyone affected to visit us for a check-up.

Additionally, we will be offering free repair or replacement of prescription eyeglasses to anyone whose glasses were broken or lost due to the wildfire. We will try to accommodate as many patients as possible during this period of time. Some restrictions will apply.
